Maine secures commitment from Duke's Cooper Flagg's identical twin
Ace Flagg, the identical sibling of highly-touted Duke freshman guard Cooper Flagg, committed to join Maine as a member of the Class of 2025.
The brothers are both natives of Maine and began their high school journeys in the state.
Cooper Flagg is on the verge of embarking on his first season with the seventh-ranked Blue Devils, having reclassified to enter college a year early.
Ace Flagg, a 6-foot-7 power forward, is not included on 247 Sports' rankings of the top prospects in the 2025 class. However, ESPN has given him a three-star rating. According to CBS Sports, Ace Flagg ultimately chose Maine over George Washington, Richmond, Florida Gulf Coast, St. Joseph's and West Virginia.
The brothers previously attended Montverde Academy near Orlando, but Ace Flagg transferred to Greensboro (N.C.) Day School for the current academic year.
Maine, which finished last season with a 15-17 record, will kick off its 2024-25 season on Monday with a matchup against Duke.
