"Georgia Claims Victory Over No. 22 St. John's in Top 25 Matchup"
Asa Newell tallied a team-best 18 points, aiding Georgia in their upset of No. 22 St. John's with a 66-63 victory at the Bahamas Championship in Nassau, Bahamas.
Silas Demary Jr. contributed 15 points for the Bulldogs (6-1), who managed to win despite committing 24 turnovers. Tyrin Lawrence also made an impact with 11 points, along with a game-high nine rebounds and five assists. Georgia shot 49% (24-for-49) from the field and 41.7% (5-for-12) from beyond the 3-point line.
Zuby Ejiofor led St. John's (5-2) with 22 points and eight rebounds, while Aaron Scott added 14 points. RJ Luis Jr. also contributed with 13 points for the Red Storm, who struggled with a 10.5% (2-for-19) success rate on 3-point attempts and a 31.1% (19-for-61) overall shooting percentage.
Newell closed out the first half with his third 3-pointer of the season, giving Georgia a 32-28 lead at halftime. Newell led the team with 11 points, while Ejiofor's nine points led St. John's, who went 0-for-9 on 3-pointers in the first half.

John Tonje exploded for 33 points and helped the Badgers come back to defeat the Panthers in the Greenbrier Tip-Off championship game in White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.
Tonje scored 25 of his points in the second half, shooting 9-for-11 and recording his second 30+ point game of the season. Kamari McGee also played a crucial role for the Badgers (7-0), sinking a clutch 3-pointer in the corner with 2:54 remaining to give Wisconsin a 74-70 lead. He finished with 10 points.
Pittsburgh (6-1) entered the game with a perfect record and their best start since the 2018-19 season, winning their first six games by double digits. Ishmael Leggett led the Panthers with 17 points, while Cameron Corhen added 16 points and Jaland Lowe contributed 15.

Jamil Miller came off the bench to record 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Simeon Cottle added 15 points as the host Owls narrowly defeated the Scarlet Knights in Georgia.
Miller shot 6-for-7, including 2-for-3 from 3-point range, to help Kennesaw State (5-1) secure their first victory against a ranked team. The Owls had previously gone 0-for-16 against teams in the Associated Press Top 25.
Dylan Harper led Rutgers (4-1) with 21 points, while Ace Bailey added 17 points. The Scarlet Knights suffered their first loss of the season.
