"Baylor secures commitment from highly-rated F Tounde Yessoufou"

Highly-rated small forward Tounde Yessoufou from California made a commitment to Baylor on Wednesday for the Class of 2025.

According to the 247Sports composite rankings, Yessoufou is ranked as the 15th best player in his class.

Out of 14 offers, Yessoufou ultimately chose Baylor over Arizona State, Southern Cal, Arizona, and Washington.

Yessoufou explained his decision, stating, "I chose Scott Drew because he comes across as genuine. While other schools had their own strengths, I trust my intuition, and his impressive track record speaks for itself. He has been with Baylor for more than 23 years, which holds great significance for me. He knows what it takes to be a successful and champion team. After watching their practice, I could see the level of trust he has in his players, constantly pushing them to reach their full potential."

Originally from Benin in West Africa, Yessoufou is a standout player for St. Joseph High School in Santa Maria, California.
