TNT Sports may still be in the running to broadcast NBA games.

On Monday, Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD), the parent company of TNT, announced that it had matched one of the offers in the latest round of NBA television rights negotiations.

According to multiple reports, TNT matched the bid from newcomer Amazon, which is estimated to be worth $1.8 billion per year for 11 years.

Earlier this month, the NBA received proposals from NBC and Amazon. Disney-owned ABC/ESPN would retain the "A package," which includes the NBA Finals. The "B package" would go to NBC, while Amazon planned to stream the "C package" on Prime Video. The NBA Board of Governors approved these deals, worth a total of $76 billion, last week.

Turner, a longtime partner of the NBA known for their studio show "Inside the NBA," is now trying to get back in on the action.

In a statement, TNT Sports expressed their disappointment in losing the rights to the games in their current package, but also stated their commitment to continuing their partnership with the NBA.

"We have reviewed the offers and matched one of them. This will allow fans to continue enjoying our top-notch coverage, including the best live game productions in the industry and our iconic studio shows and talent, while also building on our 40-year commitment for many more years," the statement read.

The NBA has yet to comment on this statement, but TNT Sports has submitted their matching paperwork and is awaiting the league's response.

Currently, WBD pays $1.4 billion per season for a nine-year deal that ends after the 2024-25 season.
