"Thunder's Top Draft Pick Nikola Topic Undergoes ACL Surgery"

Oklahoma City Thunder player Nikola Topic underwent a surgical procedure in Los Angeles to fix a torn ACL, as announced by the team on Wednesday.

Topic, who is predicted to be out for the entire 2024-25 season, suffered the injury in April. The 18-year-old was chosen by the Thunder as the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft held in June.

The 6-foot-5 guard from Serbia had an average of 18.4 points, 7.1 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 12 games with Mega of the Adriatic League during the 2023-24 season. He also contributed 14.5, 5.0, and 4.0, respectively, in two games with Crvena zvezda.
