Surgery Performed on 76ers' Newcomer Jared McCain's Injured Knee
Philadelphia 76ers newcomer guard Jared McCain underwent surgery on Tuesday to fix a torn meniscus in his left knee.
The organization stated that McCain will be out indefinitely.
McCain sustained the injury during Friday's 121-107 defeat against the Indiana Pacers. The torn meniscus was announced the following day.
The 20-year-old has been a standout player, averaging 15.3 points, 2.6 assists, and 2.4 rebounds in 23 games (with eight starts) for Philadelphia. He has a field goal percentage of 46 and a 3-point percentage of 38.3.
The Duke University graduate was selected as the 16th overall pick in the draft this past summer.
