The game marked the return of Heat star Jimmy Butler, who had been suspended for seven games due to conduct detrimental to the team. Despite requesting a trade, Butler played 33 minutes and contributed 18 points, three rebounds, and two assists.
Tyler Herro, who had scored at least 32 points in three consecutive games, led Miami with 22 points. Bam Adebayo added 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Nikola Jokic also scored 16 for the Heat, who suffered their third consecutive loss.
Mavericks 106, Thunder 98
Kyrie Irving led the Dallas Mavericks to a home victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder, who were missing star player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander due to a sprained right wrist.
The Mavericks ended a three-game losing streak, while the Thunder lost for just the second time in their last 16 games. Oklahoma City, who had won four consecutive games, including a 20-point victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday, were without Gilgeous-Alexander for the first time this season.
P.J. Washington and Spencer Dinwiddie each scored 16 points for Dallas, who capitalized on the Thunder's 15 turnovers, scoring 29 points off of them. In contrast, Oklahoma City only managed to score 17 points off of the Mavericks' 17 turnovers. Jalen Williams led the Thunder with 19 points, but struggled with his shooting, making just 7 of 22 attempts. Luguentz Dort added 18 points.

CJ McCollum scored 26 points, Zion Williamson recorded a double-double, and the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the Utah Jazz at home.
Williamson finished with 24 points and 14 rebounds, while Trey Murphy III and Jose Alvarado each scored 19 points for the Pelicans. Daniel Theis had a season-high 18 points, and Jordan Hawkins added 11 points. This was the Pelicans' highest scoring game and largest margin of victory this season.
Keyonte George led the Jazz with 26 points, followed by Collin Sexton with 24 points. Drew Eubanks contributed 17 points, Svi Mykhailiuk had 16 points, and Brice Sensabaugh added 15 points. The Jazz will face the Pelicans again on Monday night.

Santi Aldama scored a career-high 29 points as the short-handed Memphis Grizzlies dominated the San Antonio Spurs in a two-game series sweep.
Jaylen Wells and Desmond Bane added 22 points each, while Jaren Jackson Jr. contributed 19 points for the Grizzlies, who played without Ja Morant due to a right foot injury. Bane also had 14 assists.
