'Raptors' Scottie Barnes (ankle) leaves match against Knicks'
The Toronto Raptors' small forward, Scottie Barnes, suffered a sprained right ankle during the third quarter of their game against the New York Knicks on Monday night. As a result, he will not be able to continue playing in the match.
Barnes left the game with 6:47 remaining in the third quarter after colliding with Karl-Anthony Towns, the center for the Knicks. While on the ground, Barnes appeared to be indicating to the medical staff that he was unable to feel his foot.
Before his injury, Barnes had scored 15 points on 5-of-11 shooting and grabbed five rebounds. This was his 10th game back after being sidelined for almost a month due to a broken orbital bone.
As of Monday, Barnes had been averaging 21.0 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 7.8 assists in 13 games (all of which he started) this season.
