Philadelphia 76ers Guard Tyrese Maxey (hand) to Miss Next Two Games

Philadelphia 76ers Guard Tyrese Maxey (hand injury) to miss two additional games

Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey will be absent for a minimum of two additional games due to a sprained finger, as confirmed by coach Nick Nurse on Friday.

Maxey will not participate in the upcoming home games against the Miami Heat and Toronto Raptors, extending his absence from the lineup to 15 games.

He has also been struggling with a back injury and has not played since the team's loss to the Portland Trail Blazers on March 3rd.

Maxey's next opportunity to play will be on Tuesday in a road game against the New York Knicks.

The 76ers (23-50) have suffered six consecutive losses and nine out of their last 10 games. With only nine games remaining, they are on the verge of being eliminated from the play-in tournament.

Maxey, 24, has recorded a career-high of 26.3 points, along with 6.1 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 52 games (all starts) this season. He was selected for his first All-Star team and was named the NBA's Most Improved Player in 2023-24.
