The Lakers had two home games postponed in the past week, including a matchup against the Spurs scheduled for Saturday, as a safety precaution due to deadly wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The Spurs claimed their first victory over the Lakers in three games this season, outscoring them 73-40 in the second half.

Anthony Davis recorded 30 points and 13 rebounds while LeBron James added 18 points and eight assists as the Lakers dropped their third straight game, all to Texas teams. Los Angeles fell to both Houston and Dallas on their recent road trip.

Austin Reaves contributed 12 points and eight assists for the Lakers, who held an 11-point lead in the third quarter before collapsing in the final 16 minutes of the game.

Clippers 109, Heat 98

Norman Powell notched 29 points while James Harden and Ivica Zubac both recorded double-doubles as the Los Angeles Clippers overcame an early 13-point deficit to defeat the Miami Heat in Inglewood, Calif. This was the Clippers' first game since last Wednesday due to the wildfires.

Harden finished with 26 points and 11 assists, hitting 6 of 10 3-point attempts, while Zubac had 21 points and 20 rebounds, including seven dunks. The Clippers' home game against the Charlotte Hornets, scheduled for last Saturday, was postponed.

The Heat, who had won their previous three games on the road, received 32 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists from Tyler Herro, as well as 19 points and 13 boards from Kel'el Ware.

Anthony Edwards took control in the fourth quarter, scoring 20 of his game-high 41 points, as the Minnesota Timberwolves handed the host Washington Wizards their seventh consecutive loss.

Minnesota found themselves in a back-and-forth battle for most of the game against Washington, who was playing their second game of a back-to-back. The Wizards had lost their previous two games by a combined 74 points, but they remained competitive with the Timberwolves until a crucial late stretch.

With Minnesota leading 88-86, Edwards drained a 3-pointer with 8:42 remaining. However, Washington's Carlton Carrington responded with a 3-pointer of his own just 18 seconds later. The Wizards were unable to score for the next 2:26, allowing the Timberwolves to go on a decisive 11-0 run.

The Toronto Raptors overcame a nine-point deficit in the fourth quarter, scoring the game's final six points to end a five-game losing streak with a win over the visiting Golden State Warriors.

After Kyle Anderson's 3-pointer put the Warriors up 101-98 with 2:34 remaining, the Raptors responded with a putback layup from Chris Boucher and two baskets from Ochai Agbaji.

Golden State's Andrew Wiggins and Buddy Hield both missed 3-point attempts in the final 30 seconds as the Warriors fell to 1-4 in their last five games.
