Lakers' Star Player Anthony Davis (abdominal strain) to Miss at Least One Week

'Injury Update: Lakers' Anthony Davis (abdominal) to be sidelined for at least one week'

The Los Angeles Lakers will be without their star center, Anthony Davis, for at least one week due to a strain in his abdomen.

The injury occurred during the first quarter of Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers, resulting in a 118-104 road loss.

According to the team, Davis will return to Los Angeles today and will be re-evaluated in approximately seven days.

Davis had a low scoring game with only four points and two rebounds in 10 minutes before leaving the court with 2:10 remaining in the first quarter.

Coming off a 42-point and 23-rebound performance on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets, Davis was playing on the second night of a back-to-back. This was his fifth game with 40 or more points and 20 or more rebounds in his career.

The 31-year-old has missed three out of the Lakers' 45 games this season, with the team winning two out of those three games.

Due to his injury, Davis will not be able to play in the upcoming road games against the Washington Wizards on Thursday and the New York Knicks on Saturday. The Lakers will face their cross-town rivals, the Clippers, next Tuesday.

In his 13th season in the NBA, Davis is currently leading the Lakers with an average of 25.7 points and 11.9 rebounds per game. Throughout his career, he has averaged 24.2 points and 10.7 rebounds over 778 games (771 starts) for the New Orleans Hornets/Pelicans (2012-19) and the Lakers.
