Keshad Johnson, Impressive G League Player, Joins Heat Roster
The Miami Heat officially signed Keshad Johnson, a standout player from the NBA G League, on Thursday.
The team upgraded his contract from a two-way deal to a standard two-year NBA contract. The specific terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Johnson, who is 23 years old, has been impressive for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Heat's G League affiliate. In 13 games as a starter, he has averaged 21.2 points and 8.2 rebounds. The 6-foot-7 forward has also been shooting well, with a field goal percentage of 54.9 and a 3-point percentage of 39.6.
Despite going undrafted in 2024 after playing for Arizona, Johnson has already made an impact in three games for the Heat. In just 15 minutes of play, he has scored two points and grabbed three rebounds.
