Injury Update: Pelicans' Brandon Ingram (ankle) to be sidelined indefinitely
New Orleans Pelicans forward Brandon Ingram is currently out of commission after suffering a low left ankle sprain, as reported by ESPN on Sunday.
Ingram sustained the injury when he landed on the foot of Oklahoma City's Lu Dort during the Pelicans' 119-109 defeat against the Thunder on Saturday.
This game marked Ingram's second appearance since returning from a five-game absence due to right plantaris tendinitis.
The 27-year-old has been averaging 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.2 assists in 18 games this season, all of which he started.
Ingram, who was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers with the second overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft out of Duke, has been a consistent performer, averaging 19.5 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.3 assists in 495 games (456 starts) and earning an All-Star nod in the 2019-20 season.
