Hornets ink 3-year contract with F Moussa Diabate
The Charlotte Hornets inked a contract with forward Moussa Diabate for a standard three-year period.
The Hornets did not disclose the financial details of the agreement in their announcement on Sunday. Diabate had previously been playing under a two-way contract and was scheduled to become a restricted free agent after the 2025-26 season.
At 23 years old, Diabate is currently averaging career-highs in points (4.7), rebounds (7.0), and minutes (18.7) in 43 games (including six starts) this season, his first with the Hornets.
Diabate was drafted in the second round of the 2022 draft by the Los Angeles Clippers, who opted not to offer him a qualifying contract over the summer. On July 31, the Hornets signed him to a two-way deal.
