"Grizzlies Dominate Warriors with 51-Point Defeat in NBA Recap"
Santi Aldama tallied 21 points and secured 14 rebounds for the Memphis Grizzlies, who drained a franchise-record 27 3-pointers to dominate the visiting Golden State Warriors 144-93 on Thursday.
This marked the second-largest margin of victory in Grizzlies history, only behind a 152-79 win against the Oklahoma City Thunder on December 2, 2021. The Warriors suffered their fourth-worst defeat in franchise history.
Brandin Podziemski notched a season-high 21 points to lead the Warriors. Stephen Curry was limited to just two points, his lowest single-game output in contests where he played at least 12 minutes. He missed all seven of his field-goal attempts, including six from beyond the arc.
Golden State's Draymond Green recorded zero points, rebounds, and assists in 19 minutes.
Trail Blazers 126, Nuggets 124
Anfernee Simons made a driving layup at the buzzer to lead Portland to a nail-biting victory over the visiting Denver Nuggets.
Simons contributed 28 points and 10 assists, Shaedon Sharpe added 27 points, and Deni Avdija scored 19 points in just 21 minutes off the bench as the Trail Blazers ended a six-game losing streak.
Nikola Jokic led the Nuggets with 34 points and eight assists. Jamal Murray also had a strong performance with 24 points and nine assists, but it wasn't enough as the Nuggets trailed by 17 points in the fourth quarter before making a late comeback.
Pacers 120, Suns 111
Pascal Siakam recorded 25 points and a season-high 18 rebounds to lead the Indiana Pacers to a victory over the host Phoenix Suns.
Myles Turner and Andrew Nembhard also had strong performances with 19 points each for the Pacers, who have now won three consecutive games. Bennedict Mathurin added 16 points.
Kevin Durant had a season-best game for the Suns with 37 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists. However, it wasn't enough to secure the win as the Suns had their two-game winning streak snapped. Devin Booker also had a strong showing with 17 points, but left the game in the third quarter due to groin tightness.
Clippers 118, Mavericks 95
Norman Powell scored 29 points, Ivica Zubac had 21 points and 15 rebounds, and the visiting Los Angeles Clippers cruised past the injury-depleted Dallas Mavericks.
James Harden also had a solid performance with 24 points, five rebounds, and seven assists for the Clippers. The team had a total of 44 assists, with six coming from Kris Dunn and five each from Powell and Zubac.
Klay Thompson led the Mavericks with 22 points, while Spencer Dinwiddie added 19 points and seven assists. However, the Mavericks were missing two key players in Luka Doncic (heel) and Kyrie Irving (shoulder).
Knicks 133, Timberwolves 107
Karl-Anthony Towns made a triumphant return to Minneapolis, scoring 32 points and grabbing 20 rebounds to lead the New York Knicks to a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Towns was nearly perfect, making 10 out of 12 shots from the field and all five of his 3-point attempts. He also added six assists for the Knicks, who improved to 2-0 on their three-game road trip. Mikal Bridges also had a strong showing with 29 points.
Julius Randle led the Timberwolves with 24 points, while Anthony Edwards contributed 17 points and a team-high seven assists. However, it wasn't enough to secure the win as the Timberwolves lost on their home court for the first time since November 27.
Bulls 117, Celtics 108
Zach LaVine scored a game-high 36 points and Nikola Vucevic added 16 points and 14 rebounds to lead the visiting Chicago Bulls past the Boston Celtics.
Chicago outscored Boston 35-22 in the fourth quarter, with technical fouls being called on Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla and players Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. The Celtics were hoping for a foul call during a loose-ball scramble, but the Bulls extended their winning streak to three games
