"Following previous caution, Ja Morant of the Grizzlies repeats gun gesture"
According to ESPN, the NBA gave warnings but did not impose any additional penalties on Ja Morant of the Memphis Grizzlies and Buddy Hield of the Golden State Warriors for their "finger gun" gestures during Tuesday's game.
The league concluded that their celebratory actions were not meant to be aggressive, but were still deemed inappropriate and should not be repeated, as reported.
Both teams were also given warnings.
The Warriors emerged victorious with a score of 134-125 in their game against the Grizzlies.
Morant, aged 25, has previously been suspended twice by the NBA for displaying a handgun on social media.
The two-time All-Star was suspended for eight games without pay in March 2023 after posting a video on Instagram Live with a firearm.
Another video of Morant posing with a gun surfaced online, resulting in an investigation by the NBA and a 25-game suspension at the start of the 2023-24 season.
