According to ESPN, the Sacramento Kings made room on their roster on Monday by trading forward Jalen McDaniels and a second-round draft pick to the San Antonio Spurs.

It is currently unknown what the Kings will receive in return. However, the Spurs have plans to release McDaniels.

McDaniels, who is 26 years old, was previously traded to Sacramento in June as part of a deal that involved Davion Mitchell, Sasha Vezenkov, Jamal Shead, and a 2025 draft pick going to the Toronto Raptors.

The Charlotte Hornets drafted McDaniels in the second round of the 2019 draft. He spent the first three and a half years of his NBA career with the Hornets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Raptors. Throughout his time with these teams, McDaniels averaged 6.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game.

Last season, McDaniels played for the Raptors in 50 games, starting in just one of them. He averaged 3.4 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 10.8 minutes per game.
