Breaking News: Mavericks to Add G Spencer Dinwiddie to Roster

According to The Athletic, the Dallas Mavericks are set to sign experienced guard Spencer Dinwiddie to a one-year deal on Monday.

During the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons, Dinwiddie, now 31, recorded an average of 17.7 points per game with the Mavericks.

Last season, he split his time between the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers, putting up 10.5 points per game in a total of 76 games (52 of which he started).

Throughout his career, Dinwiddie has maintained an average of 13.3 points and 5.2 assists in 542 games (315 of which he started) with the Detroit Pistons, Nets, Washington Wizards, Mavericks, and Lakers. His highest scoring season was in 2019-20 with Brooklyn, where he averaged 20.6 points per game.

Dinwiddie was drafted by the Pistons in the second round of the 2014 draft.
