Anthony Edwards of the Wolves makes a comeback to the game following ankle injury
Minnesota Timberwolves sensation Anthony Edwards was assisted to the locker room after sustaining a possible ankle injury in Thursday evening's matchup against the Brooklyn Nets.
With just under four minutes remaining in the second quarter, Edwards drained a three-pointer from the corner. However, as he was backing up, he stumbled over Nets coach Jordi Fernandez on the sideline.
Edwards currently leads the Timberwolves in scoring with an average of 27.3 points per game. The team is currently in a tight race for the sixth seed in the Western Conference, aiming to avoid the play-in tournament. They are currently tied with both the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies at a record of 44-32, but hold the tiebreaker.
Before exiting the game, Edwards had contributed 15 points on 6-9 shooting.
