"Announcement: Grizzlies' G Ja Morant Expected to Make Comeback on Monday"

According to NBA insider Chris Haynes, Memphis Grizzlies' guard Ja Morant is set to make his return to the court after missing eight games due to a hip injury. The game against the Portland Trail Blazers at home on Monday night is expected to mark his comeback.

The 25-year-old Morant had been averaging 20.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 9.1 assists in the eight games he played earlier this season before his injury.

Despite Morant's absence, the Grizzlies have been performing well in terms of ball distribution this season. In fact, they rank among the top teams in the league for assists per game (29.8). In their recent dominant win against the Chicago Bulls, they recorded 38 assists, tying their season-high. As of Monday, they ranked third in the league, behind Denver (30.3) and Golden State (30.2).

Last season, Morant only played nine games due to a disciplinary suspension and a shoulder injury. However, in his six seasons with the Grizzlies, he has played a total of 265 games (263 starts) and has impressive averages of 22.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 7.5 assists. He has also been selected for two All-Star Games.

The Grizzlies currently have a record of 10-7 and are on a two-game winning streak going into Monday's game.
