Analysis: Bucks' Damian Lillard Aiming to Make Comeback in Game 2 or 3

"Update: Bucks' Damian Lillard Aiming to Return for Game 2 or 3"

According to ESPN, Milwaukee Bucks point guard Damian Lillard, who was absent for the final 14 games of the regular season due to a medical concern, may make a comeback for Game 2 or 3 of the team's first-round playoff series against the Indiana Pacers.

The 34-year-old Lillard was diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis in his right calf last month and was prescribed blood-thinning medication, resulting in his absence from the court. However, the Bucks announced on Thursday that he has been given the green light to resume playing basketball.

Lillard's last game was on March 18, where he scored 16 points in a 104-93 loss against the Golden State Warriors.

The first game of the Eastern Conference series between the fifth-seeded Bucks (48-34) and the fourth-seeded Pacers (50-32) will take place on Saturday in Indianapolis.

Throughout the season, the nine-time All-Star averaged 24.9 points, 7.1 assists, and 4.7 rebounds in 58 games. In his career spanning over 900 games with the Portland Trail Blazers (2012-23) and Bucks, he has maintained averages of 25.1 points, 6.7 assists, and 4.3 rebounds.
