"White Sox rename stadium as Rate Field"

On Wednesday, the official name of the Chicago White Sox's home was changed to Rate Field.

Previously known as Guaranteed Rate Field since 2016, the ballpark on the South Side was originally named Comiskey Park II and was later called U.S. Cellular Field from 2003-16.

According to Rate CEO Victor Ciardelli, the company recently changed its name from Guaranteed Rate to Rate in order to make it easier for customers to reach out for assistance with their home-buying needs. As a result, the iconic ballpark will now be known as Rate Field. Ciardelli also expressed gratitude towards Jerry Reinsdorf and his team for their support during this process.

The partnership between Rate and the Chicago White Sox will continue for the next 13 years, as their current naming rights agreement runs through 2029.
