Teoscar Hernandez, Dodgers' Right Fielder, Absent from Back-to-Back Games Due to Illness

"Consecutive Absences for Dodgers' Right Fielder Teoscar Hernandez Due to Illness"

The Los Angeles Dodgers' right fielder, Teoscar Hernandez, will be absent for the second consecutive game on Tuesday due to a stomach virus.

Hernandez is the third player on the Dodgers' team to miss games this season because of a stomach virus, along with Mookie Betts and Enrique Hernandez.

At 32 years old, Teoscar Hernandez has a batting average of .281 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 17 games this season. In his first season with the Los Angeles team in 2024, he hit 33 home runs and had 99 RBIs, ultimately helping the team win the World Series.

During both Monday and Tuesday's games, Andy Pages took over Hernandez's position in right field.

On Tuesday, Dodgers' manager Dave Roberts announced that right-hander Bobby Miller will make his first start of the season in Wednesday's series finale against the Colorado Rockies.

Last season, Miller, 26, struggled with a shoulder injury and a record of 2-4 with an 8.52 ERA in 13 starts. In spring training this year, he was hit in the head by a line drive and had to go through concussion protocol, delaying his preparation for the season.

So far this season, Miller has a 2.25 ERA in three appearances (two starts) with the Triple-A Oklahoma City team. He has struck out 11 batters and walked 11 in 12 innings.
