"Swift Conclusion of LCS Results in Earlier Commencement of World Series"

A speedy conclusion to the two league championship series in Major League Baseball would lead to an earlier commencement of the World Series.

On Sunday, MLB announced that if both the American and National League wrap up their championship rounds by Saturday, the World Series will kick off on October 22nd, with a potential Game 7 taking place on October 30th.

In order for the World Series to be pushed to the earlier date, both the best-of-seven ALCS and NLCS would need to be completed within five games.

However, if either series goes beyond five games, the World Series will begin on October 25th, with a potential Game 7 scheduled for November 2nd.

The NLCS will commence on Sunday night, featuring the New York Mets against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Meanwhile, the ALCS will start on Monday night, with the Cleveland Guardians facing off against the New York Yankees.

The NLCS will be broadcasted on the FOX networks, while TBS will cover the ALCS.
