Rockies extend contract of C Jacob Stallings for 1 year

The Colorado Rockies have re-signed catcher Jacob Stallings for a one-year deal, as announced by the team on Wednesday.

Included in the agreement is a mutual option for 2026, which comes with a $500,000 buyout, according to reports.

Stallings, who is 34 years old, had a batting average of .263 with nine home runs and 36 RBIs in his first season with the Rockies.

Throughout his career, Stallings has a batting average of .239 with 33 home runs and 184 RBIs while playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2016-2021), Miami Marlins (2022-2023), and Rockies.
