Pirates Ink 1-Year Deal with LHP Caleb Ferguson
The Pittsburgh Pirates have officially signed left-handed pitcher Caleb Ferguson to a one-year deal, the team announced on Friday.
While the financial details were not disclosed by the Pirates, various media sources have reported that the contract is worth $3 million.
Ferguson, who is 28 years old, was traded from the New York Yankees to the Houston Astros during last season's trade deadline.
Throughout the season, he appeared in 62 games as a relief pitcher and finished with a record of 1-4, an ERA of 4.64, and one save between the two teams.
In his career, Ferguson has a record of 19-13 with a 3.68 ERA and six saves in a total of 263 games (including 14 starts) with the Los Angeles Dodgers (2018-2020, 2022-2023), Yankees, and Astros.
