Dodgers SS Miguel Rojas (groin) questionable for Game 4
SAN DIEGO -- Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Miguel Rojas departed Game 3 of the National League Division Series in the third inning on Tuesday due to an aggravated groin injury.
During the bottom of the second inning, Rojas was visited by a member of the Dodgers' medical team while playing defense. Despite this, he remained in the game. However, in the third inning, he singled and then advanced to third base on two more singles before being replaced.
Rookie Andy Pages took over for Rojas on the bases and in center field, while Tommy Edman shifted from center to shortstop to fill in for Rojas on defense.
Throughout the season, Rojas has been struggling with adductor soreness and was unable to play in the final four games of the regular season after being diagnosed with a slight tear.
At 35 years old, Rojas had a batting average of .283, six home runs, and 36 RBIs in 103 games this season. He took over as shortstop after Mookie Betts was moved back to right field following a broken hand.
Throughout his 11-year career in the major leagues, Rojas has a batting average of .260, 50 home runs, and 336 RBIs for the Dodgers (2014, 2022-23) and Miami Marlins (2015-22).
