"Dairon Blanco (Achilles) of the Royals placed on 10-day injured list"
The Kansas City Royals have put outfielder Dairon Blanco on the 10-day disabled list on Monday due to tendinopathy in his right Achilles.
Blanco, who is 31 years old, successfully stole two bases and scored two runs during the opening series of the season against the Cleveland Guardians.
Throughout his career, Blanco has maintained a .258 batting average with seven home runs, 33 runs batted in, and 58 stolen bases in a total of 165 games since his debut with the Royals back in 2022.
In a corresponding move, the Royals have brought up 27-year-old infielder/outfielder Tyler Tolbert from Triple-A Omaha. Tolbert, who was drafted by the Royals in the 13th round in 2019, has yet to make his debut in the major leagues.
