'Braves' Freddie Freeman sustains ankle injury while showering'

According to manager Dave Roberts on Monday, Freddie Freeman, the first baseman for the Los Angeles Dodgers, experienced a minor injury to his surgically repaired ankle while entering the shower at home.

Currently, Freeman's status is day-to-day.

Last September, Freeman initially injured his ankle and played through it during the Dodgers' journey to the World Series. However, he underwent ankle surgery during the offseason.

In the current season, the 35-year-old has appeared in three games for the Dodgers, recording a 3-for-12 score with two home runs and four RBIs.

As an eight-time All-Star, Freeman is known for his impressive hitting abilities, with 22 home runs, 89 RBIs, a .282 batting average, and a .378 on-base percentage in 147 games last season.
