Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper exited Wednesday's matchup against the Toronto Blue Jays due to a left elbow bruise.

The Phillies announced that Harper will undergo further examination.

In the first inning, Harper was struck on the elbow by a fastball from Toronto's right-handed pitcher Bowden Francis.

Despite the injury, Harper remained in the game until he was replaced by Edmundo Sosa in the third inning.

This season, the 31-year-old has a batting average of .282 and has hit 26 home runs with 76 RBIs.
