Spurs' Dylan Harper: Undergoes thumb surgery
2h agoThe Spurs announced Harper underwent surgery on his injured left thumb Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Harper was selected No. 2 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft and is expected to be a big part of the future for the storied franchise. The team hopes he'll be ready for the start of the 2025-26 campaign, which will get underway on Oct. 22 on the road against the Mavericks.

Thomas Sorber OKC C
Thunder's Thomas Sorber: Suffers torn ACL
3h agoThe Thunder announced Friday that Sorber has sustained a torn ACL in his right knee during an offseason workout, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Sorber was selected No. 15 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft out of Georgetown by the reigning NBA champions. The rookie center was already dealing with a foot injury that cut his season with the Hoyas short and kept him out of the Summer League. Now he'll likely have to wait until the 2026-27 campaign to make his debut on the professional level.
-
Trey Lyles SAC PF
Trey Lyles: Inks deal with Real Madrid
1d agoLyles signed a contract with Real Madrid on Thursday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
Lyles spent his third straight season with the Kings during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 6.5 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 69 appearances. He's since elected to try his hand overseas, where he'll suit up for Real Madrid of the EuroLeague and should immediately take on a significant role.

Olivier-Maxence Prosper MEM SF
Grizzlies' Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Joins Memphis on two-way deal
1d agoProsper (wrist) signed a two-way contract with the Grizzlies on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
The Mavericks were forced to let go of Prosper in order to sign Dante Exum. Charania notes that Prosper generated a lot of interest elsewhere before he ultimately agreed to join the Grizzlies. Because he's on a two-way deal, Prosper could spend a lot of time with the Memphis Hustle in the G League to open the season.
-
Cam Thomas BKN SG
Nets' Cam Thomas: Signs qualifying offer
1d agoThomas (hamstring) signed his one-year, $6 million qualifying offer with the Nets on Thursday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Thomas and the Nets were unable to reach a long-term agreement. By signing this qualifying offer, Thomas will have a full no-trade clause and will be able to hit unrestricted free agency next offseason. Charania notes that at least 10 NBA teams will be positioned to have ample cap space, and Thomas will have plenty of motivation to produce a big season. Thomas averaged 24.0 points, 3.8 assists and 3.3 rebounds in 31.2 minutes per game last season, but he appeared in only 25 regular-season contests because of hamstring injuries.
-
Javan Johnson ATL SF
Hawks' Javan Johnson: With Atlanta for training camp
2d agoThe Hawks signed Johnson to an Exhibit 10 contract Wednesday, Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot reports.
Johnson will join Atlanta for training camp, averaging 16.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game in the G League last season on 44/40/90 shooting. The 26-year-old will face an uphill battle to make the Hawks roster.

Alex Sarr WAS C
Wizards' Alex Sarr: Suffers calf injury in EuroBasket
3d agoSarr (calf) will miss the rest of the EuroBasket tournament, but he's expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
The severity of the issue is unclear, though Sarr won't need surgery to address the problem. His status will still be worth monitoring this fall, as it's possible the 2024 No. 1 overall pick will have his reps limited in training camp in some capacity due to the setback. If Sarr is restricted in any way to begin the new year, Tristan Vukcevic, Anthony Gill and Marvin Bagley are the next men up on Washington's depth chart at center.
-
Alex Sarr WAS C
Wizards' Alex Sarr: Healthy for EuroBasket play
7d agoSarr (rest) contributed seven points and four rebounds for France in Thursday's 92-64 EuroBasket victory over Belgium.
Sarr made two appearances in the Las Vegas Summer League before the Wizards shut him down, and he's since returned to action ahead of the new season. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick is looking to take another step forward in 2025-26, as Sarr averaged 15.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game following last year's All-Star break but shot just 39.5 percent from the floor during this stretch.

Kylor Kelley LAL C
Lakers' Kylor Kelley: Secures Exhibit 10 deal
11d agoKelley agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers on Monday, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Kelley will join the Lakers for training camp and will get the opportunity to compete for a spot on the 15-man roster or a two-way slot, though Los Angeles will retain his G League rights in the event that he gets waived before the start of the regular season. The big man appeared in 11 games between the Mavericks and Pelicans in 2024-25, averaging 3.1 points and 3.5 rebounds across 11.5 minutes per game.
-
N'Faly Dante ATL C
Hawks' N'Faly Dante: Heads to Atlanta
17d agoDante's (ankle) contract with the Hawks became official on Tuesday.
The Hawks signed Dante to a two-year, $4.5 million offer sheet back on Saturday, and the Rockets declined to match the deal. He's unlikely to crack the rotation early on in Atlanta, and he could see the bulk of his minutes in the G League.
-
Jesse Edwards MIN C
Jesse Edwards: Let go by Minnesota
19d agoEdwards was waived by the Timberwolves on Saturday.
Edwards signed a new two-way contract with the organization in June but will now have to explore other opportunities. The 25-year-old big man spent most of the 2024-25 campaign with the team's G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves, during which he averaged 11.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 blocks and 1.4 assists across 25.1 minutes per game in 34 outings.

PJ Washington DAL PF
Mavericks' P.J. Washington: Lands $90 million extension
2d agoWashington and the Mavericks agreed to a four-year, $90 million extension Wednesday, ESPN's Shams Charania reports.
Washington had one year left on his deal for $14.1 million and will now be locked up in Dallas through the 2029-30 season. During the 2024-25 regular season, the 27-year-old averaged 14.7 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals while shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc. His role is likely to be reduced in 2025-26, however, with the Mavericks adding Cooper Flagg into the mix. Washington still figures to play a pivotal role off the bench.
-
Adem Bona PHI PF
76ers' Adem Bona: Returns to play for Turkey
7d agoBona (rest) logged six points and two rebounds for Turkey in Friday's 92-78 EuroBasket win over the Czech Republic.
Bona missed the tail end of the Las Vegas Summer League for rest purposes, but he's returned to action and is all set for the 2025-26 campaign. Much of Bona's fantasy appeal to open the new season hinges upon the health of Joel Embiid (knee) and Andre Drummond (toe). Last season, Bona averaged 13.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in 28.7 minutes per game over his final 15 appearances for the depleted 76ers.

Oscar Tshiebwe UTA PF
Jazz's Oscar Tshiebwe: Inks two-way deal with Utah
17d agoTshiebwe signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Jazz on Monday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Tshiebwe will be on a two-way deal with Utah for the second straight season. He played in 14 regular-season games with the squad during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 7.6 points and 8.7 rebounds across 18.2 minutes per game, shooting 60 percent from the field. He also put up some monster numbers during his time with the Salt Lake City Stars in the G League, averaging 17.1 points, 19.1 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 59.4 percent from the floor.
-
Miles Norris BOS PF
Miles Norris: Let go by Boston
26d agoThe Celtics waived Norris on Sunday.
After trading for RJ Luis (knee) on Tuesday, the Celtics have waived Norris from his two-way contract. The 25-year-old forward spent most of last season in the G League before signing a two-year, two-way pact with Boston in March. Over 44 G League appearances between the Maine Celtics and Memphis Hustle during the 2024-25 season, Norris averaged 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.0 steals across 30.5 minutes per game.
-
Lauri Markkanen UTA PF
Jazz's Lauri Markkanen: Drops 48 points for Finland
28d agoMarkkanen racked up 48 points and nine rebounds in Friday's 105-62 win over Belgium during Finland's EuroBasket 2025 preparation game.
Markkanen drained seven three-pointers in just 25 minutes of court time to power Finland to victory in Friday's exhibition contest. The star forward missed the final 12 games of this past regular season due to a left knee injury, but fantasy managers should be pleased to see Markkanen back on the court ahead of the 2025-26 season. The Jazz lost John Collins, Collin Sexton and Jordan Clarkson this offseason, which sets up Markkanen with plenty of usage to soak up next year.

E.J. Liddell BKN SF
E.J. Liddell: Signs two-way contract with Nets
2d agoThe Nets signed Liddell to a two-way contract Wednesday, Erik Slater of ClutchPoints.com reports.
Liddell made 12 brief regular-season appearances for the Bulls in 2024-25, averaging 4.4 minutes per game, and he'll get his next chance with Brooklyn in 2025-26. Given the two-way deal, the 2023 second-rounder is likely to spend most of his time with the G League's Long Island Nets while the parent club is healthy. Liddell most recently participated in the Las Vegas Summer League with the Nuggets, averaging 7.8 points, 5.2 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 23.4 minutes covering four outings.
-
Justin Minaya ORL SF
Magic's Justin Minaya: Signing with Magic
3d agoMinaya has agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Magic, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The contract gives Minaya an opportunity to secure a two-way spot with the Magic ahead of the 2025-26 season. The 26-year-old swingman logged a mere 5.3 minutes per game over 19 regular-season appearances with the Trail Blazers a year ago, so Minaya likely won't see much playing time with the parent club even if he makes the cut this fall.
-
Olivier-Maxence Prosper DAL SF
Olivier-Maxence Prosper: Being cut loose by Dallas
7d agoThe Mavericks waived Prosper (wrist) on Friday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Prosper missed the final month of last season after undergoing surgery for a right wrist injury, and he'll now look to find a home elsewhere ahead of the 2025-26 season. It's unclear how far along he is in his rehab, which could impact his value before training camp. After the calendar flipped to 2025, Prosper averaged 5.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 0.7 steals in 14.1 minutes per game over his final 30 regular-season appearances.
-
Tosan Evbuomwan BKN SF
Tosan Evbuomwan: Waived by Brooklyn
7d agoThe Nets waived Evbuomwan on Friday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Evbuomwan made 28 appearances for Brooklyn last season, averaging 9.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 23.8 minutes per game. Evbuomwan also spent most of the first half of last year in the G League, so perhaps he'll search for an Exhibit 10 deal with another club ahead of the new campaign.

Stanley Umude MIL SG
Spurs' Stanley Umude: Signs Exhibit 10 deal
3d agoUmude agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with the Spurs on Tuesday, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Umude will compete for a spot on the Spurs' regular-season roster on a non-guaranteed deal. The 26-year-old swingman spent the 2024-25 campaign on a two-way deal with Milwaukee, averaging just 3.9 minutes per game in 22 regular-season appearances. Over 13 outings with the G League's Wisconsin Herd, he averaged 17.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 27.9 minutes per game.
-
Bogdan Bogdanovic LAC SG
Clippers' Bogdan Bogdanovic: Dealing with hamstring injury
5d agoBogdanovic was diagnosed with a ruptured hamstring muscle while playing for the Serbian national team at EuroBasket and will return to Los Angeles for rehabilitation, Tomer Azarly of ClutchPoints.com reports.
The severity of Bogdanovic's injury is unclear, though his status will be worth monitoring ahead of the Clippers' preseason opener against the Nuggets on Oct. 12. The sharpshooter was acquired by Los Angeles from Atlanta in February and averaged 11.4 points, 3.2 assists, 3.1 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers across 25.0 minutes per game in 30 regular-season appearances (four starts) with the Clippers. He also shot 42.7 percent from beyond the arc during that span.
-
Max Strus CLE SG
Cavaliers' Max Strus: Undergoes surgery for foot fracture
10d agoStrus will miss approximately 3-to-4 months after undergoing surgery to repair a Jones fracture in his left foot, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Strus suffered the injury during an offseason workout, and he's now set to miss at least the first month of the regular season. De'Andre Hunter is the next man up on Cleveland's depth chart at small forward, so his fantasy stock is certainly on the rise ahead of the new year. Sam Merrill and Dean Wade will also be in line to help pick up the slack in Strus' absence to begin 2025-26.
-
Taevion Kinsey NBADRAFT SG
Warriors' Taevion Kinsey: Inks pact with Golden State
12d agoKinsey agreed to a training camp contract with the Warriors on Sunday, Michael Scotto of USA Today reports.
Kinsey will compete for a spot on the Warriors' regular-season roster during training camp. The 25-year-old guard spent last season with the G League's Salt Lake City Stars, during which he averaged 12.3 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.7 assists across 33.8 minutes per game in 50 outings.
-
Malik Beasley DET SG
Malik Beasley: Cleared from federal investigation
14d agoBeasley is no longer a target of New York's gambling investigation, ESPN's Shams Charania reports Friday.
Charania notes that the news could reopen Beasley's free agency, which was dormant this summer. While most NBA teams have their rosters set in stone, Beasley could still have a sizable market after a terrific 2024-25 campaign in which he averaged 16.3 points, 3.9 three-pointers, 2.6 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 0.9 steals across 27.8 minutes per contest during the regular season. He finished second in the NBA in total three-pointers made with 319.

Magic's Reece Beekman: Signs Exhibit 10 pact
3d agoBeekman agreed to an Exhibit 10 contract with Orlando on Tuesday, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.

The 23-year-old point guard joined the Warriors on a two-way contract before the 2024-25 season, though he was eventually traded to the Nets in December. He appeared in 36 regular-season games (four starts) between Golden State and Brooklyn, averaging 2.6 points and 1.8 assists across 13.0 minutes per contest.

Luka Doncic LAL PG
Lakers' Luka Doncic: Will continue to play in EuroBasket
19d agoDoncic sustained a right knee contusion in Slovenia's 100-88 exhibition game loss to Latvia on Saturday, but he'll return to practice Monday and compete in the start of EuroBasket play, Kurt Helin of NBC Sports reports.
Doncic posted 26 points (7-15 FG, 5-11 3Pt, 7-7 FT), five assists, four rebounds, two steals and one block across 20 minutes before colliding with a teammate and exiting to the locker room. However, the superstar has been cleared to return to practice and is expected to be ready by the start of EuroBasket against Poland on Aug. 28. It's unclear if the Slovenian national team will take a cautious approach with the 26-year-old point guard before then, though his next chance to play in an exhibition game will come Tuesday against Great Britain.

Luka Doncic LAL PG
Lakers' Luka Doncic: Suffers knee injury
20d agoDoncic suffered a right knee contusion during Slovenia's game against Latvia on Saturday, NBA reporter Marc Stein reports.
After dropping 26 points in the first half, Doncic went down with the knee injury in a collision with a teammate. According to Dan Woike of The Athletic, Doncic will continue to compete in the EuroBasket despite the injury.

Clippers' TyTy Washington: Signs training camp contract
27d agoThe Clippers signed Washington to a training camp contract Saturday, Keith Smith of Spotrac.com reports.
Washington originally inked a one-year contract with the squad on July 26. He'll have to prove his worth in training camp and throughout the preseason to secure a roster spot. The 23-year-old played in 16 regular-season games for Phoenix during the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 2.2 points across 7.4 minutes per game.

De'Aaron Fox SA PG
Spurs' De'Aaron Fox: Agrees to sign four-year extension
08/04/2025Fox (finger) has agreed to sign a four-year, $229 million maximum contract extension with the Spurs, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
The deal is set to keep Fox with San Antonio through the 2029-30 campaign. The Spurs acquired the star floor general ahead of this past February's trade deadline, and he's in line to be a key two-way presence in the team's backcourt for the foreseeable future. It's unclear how far along Fox is during his recovery from his finger surgery back in March, but it's possible he'll be ready in time for training camp this fall.
