Wizards' Alex Sarr: Suffers calf injury in EuroBasket
Sarr (calf) will miss the rest of the EuroBasket tournament, but he's expected to be ready for the start of the regular season, Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
The severity of the issue is unclear, though Sarr won't need surgery to address the problem. His status will still be worth monitoring this fall, as it's possible the 2024 No. 1 overall pick will have his reps limited in training camp in some capacity due to the setback. If Sarr is restricted in any way to begin the new year, Tristan Vukcevic, Anthony Gill and Marvin Bagley are the next men up on Washington's depth chart at center.

Wizards' Alex Sarr: Healthy for EuroBasket play
Sarr (rest) contributed seven points and four rebounds for France in Thursday's 92-64 EuroBasket victory over Belgium.
Sarr made two appearances in the Las Vegas Summer League before the Wizards shut him down, and he's since returned to action ahead of the new season. The 2024 No. 1 overall pick is looking to take another step forward in 2025-26, as Sarr averaged 15.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.4 steals per game following last year's All-Star break but shot just 39.5 percent from the floor during this stretch.

Wizards' Bilal Coulibaly: Back in action during EuroBasket
Coulibaly (hamstring) logged 10 points in 22 minutes of action for France during Sunday's 92-77 win over Greece in EuroBasket exhibition play, per Giorgos Kyriakidis of BasketNews.com.
Coulibaly missed the final month of the regular season due to a hamstring injury, but fantasy managers should be encouraged to see him back on the court this summer. The 2023 first-rounder figures to be a full participant in training camp this fall, and he's set to play a significant role in Washington's frontcourt in 2025-26. Coulibaly averaged 12.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.3 steals in 33.0 minutes per game through 59 regular-season outings in 2024-25.

Wizards' Skal Labissiere: Signing with Wizards
The Wizards and Labissiere agreed to a deal Tuesday, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
The journeyman big man made three brief appearances for Sacramento a year ago, though he did play a significant role for the G League's Stockton Kings. Over 28 G League regular-season appearances, Labissiere averaged 15.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 29.1 minutes per game while shooting 57.6 percent from the field. He'll be competing with the likes of Tristan Vukcevic, Anthony Gill and Marvin Bagley for the backup center role behind Alex Sarr in Washington.

Wizards' Alondes Williams: Signs deal with Washington
Williams agreed to a contract with the Wizards on Tuesday, NBA reporter Chris Haynes reports.
Williams will compete for a spot on Washington's regular-season roster during training camp. The 26-year-old guard spent most of the 2024-25 campaign in the G League, appearing in 45 outings between the Motor City Cruise and Sioux Falls Skyforce. He averaged 18.7 points, 5.4 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 32.9 minutes per game in those 45 appearances.

Wizards' Anthony Gill: Returning to Washington
The Wizards are signing Gill to a one-year contract, Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints.com reports.
After waiving Gill earlier in the offseason, the Wizards have elected to bring the 32-year-old forward back to the team. Gill didn't have much of a role in Washington's rotation a year ago, having averaged 2.5 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.3 assists in 7.8 minutes per game over 51 regular-season contests in 2024-25, so he'll likely serve as frontcourt depth behind the likes of Alex Sarr, Bilal Coulibaly and Kyshawn George while the roster is healthy.
