"Quarterback Jaxson Dart and Defensive End Mykel Williams Will Not Attend Draft in Green Bay"

Green Bay Draft Will Not Include QB Jaxson Dart and DE Mykel Williams

Quarterback Jaxson Dart and edge rusher Mykel Williams have apparently altered their plans to be present in Green Bay next week for the start of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Both Dart, who played at Ole Miss, and Williams from Georgia were initially listed among the 17 players expected to attend. However, an updated list released by the NFL on Friday showed that they will no longer be waiting in the green room in Green Bay.

On the other hand, cornerback Maxwell Hairston from Kentucky has been added to the list of attendees.

The reasons behind Dart and Williams' change of heart are unclear at this time.

While there has been much speculation about Dart's potential draft placement, with the draft set to begin on Thursday, the latest mock draft by NFL.com predicts that he will be selected by the New Orleans Saints with the No. 9 pick. The same mock draft also projects the Cincinnati Bengals to take him at No. 17.

According to Field Level Media's ranking of the top 100 prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft, Williams is listed as the No. 9 overall prospect, while Dart is ranked at No. 64.

The only quarterbacks expected to be present in Green Bay to hear their names called are Cam Ward, who is projected to be taken No. 1 overall by the Tennessee Titans, and Jalen Milroe from Alabama.
